Happy mother's day

Today my children cooked me breakfast and made me a nummy dinner. Curt and Mel came for dinner. Mel brought me flowers and wished me a happy mother's day. We had a nice relaxing night of talking, cuddling and having supper.
I have a good family and tribe.
On a very sad note a child lost their life due to a drive by a block from our house this afternoon. I have a candle burning on the altar for the family and so she passes over the bridge in peace. Its painful to see such a young victim who's only crime was to be playing outside with her cousin on a beautiful day. Peace be to her soul and her family.
It has made us seriously consider how long we are going to stay here and we may end up starting to look for a new place in the fall, depending on financial situations. I have issues with a child very close in age to my youngest, being gunned down a block from my home...
