Ban on Veils

Ok so I'm listening half assed to CNN right now. They are yelling at each other about the rights of muslim female children to wear veils in school. The one guy just basically called all muslims terrorists and that little girls in veils post security risks. Apparently they are attempting to ban full veils in schools for children's safety and for the way that some styles of veils block the child's view of the work and inhabit the teacher's ability to connect with the child and see in facial clues if they are learning. I can understand not allowing the kind that cover the child's eyes completely, but to ban their traditional clothing is just wrong.
Personally I have issues with this ban, not because I agree with making children wear full length veils. But because this type of clothing has deep meaning and significance to its wearer. I view it as an attack against Muslims and singling out of one culture due to prejudice after 9/11.
What will be next? Closing of Mosques? Instead of witch hunts they'll start hunting muslims. I really don't understand why there can't be tolerance, love and understanding amoung our religious communities. This type of thing fills me with anger, as I have very little tolerance for bigotry.
Alas, if we lived in a perfect world, I suppose.
